Brooklyn is expected to soon take the third place spot of most populated "cities" in the United States.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the borough of Brooklyn is made up of about 2.6 million people, compared with Chicago, which has a population of about 2.72 million.
Experts say Brooklyn is expected to surpass Chicago's population by 2020.
Brooklyn's population has grown by more than 5 percent since 2010, with 130,000 new residents moving to the borough.
