The former assistant principal of an East Williamsburg high school has been convicted of rape, according to officials. Prosecutors say William Abreu forced himself on a former student inside his office.

The former assistant principal of an East Williamsburg high school has been convicted of rape, according to officials.
Prosecutors say William Abreu forced himself on a former student inside his office.
They say the student was 17 years old when the incident happened in 2009.
Officials say he threatened to contact immigration authorities if she told anyone.
The Department of Education fired him in November 2013.
Abreu faces up to four years in prison when he is sentenced on Nov. 29.
