Man charged with murder after woman's body found in store

A 32-year-old man has been arrested on murder charges after his girlfriend was found dead in an East Flatbush store.

The victim, identified as 27-year-old Deneisha Smith, was found dead in the Bedford Technology store on Bedford Avenue Saturday.

Authorities say Rolanso Lexune is charged with second-degree murder. He is accused of strangling Smith after a fight over a cellphone at the store where Smith worked.

Investigators say Smith locked herself in a back office, but Lexune broke the window with a chair and strangled her.

When officers arrived at his home to arrest him, they say he stabbed himself in the stomach with a knife. Lexune's wife and four children were inside the apartment at the time.

Back in July, Lexune was also arrested for robbing, harassing and attempting to assault Smith, police say.
