Fire disrupts L train service between BK, Manhattan

A manhole fire Thursday suspended L train service into Manhattan from Brooklyn.
Service was suspended between Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg and First Avenue in Manhattan around 9:30 a.m. A manhole fire on 14th Street sent smoke billowing into the tunnel connecting the Bedford and First avenue.
Fire officials say firefighters quickly doused the blaze. No one was injured.
The situation caused headaches for many using the subway line.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
