At least five people were injured after a fire tore through a home in Brownsville, according to officials. The fire started on East 96th Street around 3:40 a.m. Firefighters responded to the site

5 injured in Brownsville house fire
At least five people were injured after a fire tore through a home in Brownsville, according to officials.
The fire started on East 96th Street around 3:40 a.m.
Firefighters responded to the site of fire and smoke at the two-story building.
Officials say the fire started in the basement of the home. The fire was under control in about an hour.
Fire officials say the five people in the home suffered only minor injuries and are expected to be OK.
