Breast cancer and domestic violence survivors got a little pampering at a Clinton Hill nail salon Sunday.
The event was held at the Very Polished Lounge and Nail Spa.
Six women who are survivors of breast cancer and domestic violence enjoyed manicures, pedicures, facials and other spa services, along with food and gifts at the salon.
The women also got to share stories about their struggles and triumphs with both breast cancer and domestic violence.
The ladies believe the pampering event was more than just much needed relaxation, but a way to help empower other women.
"It's a great feeling knowing that you have company," said Rachel Spivy, of Crown Heights. "To know that you're not alone. That's the biggest feeling that you're not alone."
