A Williamsburg cafe purports to be the neighborhood's "anti-cafe."

The Glass Hour coffee shop looks and feels like an apartment -- although it costs $6 an hour and 5 cents a minute just to hang out there.

"I think it's more about the time and the environment being very cozy," says Yaco Roca, a customer. "It's a living room away from my home."

Glass Hour says the concept of a pay-per-minute "anti-cafe" emerged in Russia in 2010. Co-owners admit there is some confusion about the concept with customers, but they say their focus is on the atmosphere and not the coffee.

The shop opened two months ago.
