BK library performance takes aim at gun violence

The Brooklyn Public Library brought together actors, singers and others Saturday to spark a conversation about gun violence.
Hundreds came to the library in Prospect Heights to see performers including Ashanti enact "The Madness of Hercules," an ancient play about violence and society.
The performance aimed to inspire the audience to realize the devastation of violence and instead pursue peace.
The event reportedly saw the library's lobby filled with its biggest crowd ever.
