Police are searching for the suspect responsible for stealing a vehicle in Staten Island with an infant in the backseat.
According to police the child's mother left her 3-month-old baby inside the vehicle and went inside a Dunkin' Donuts in Staten Island.
They say that's when the suspect stole the black Ford SUV with the baby still strapped in the car seat and drove off before abandoning the vehicle in Brooklyn.
The vehicle was discovered by officers with the baby still safely inside. Police are still searching for the suspect.
