Brownsville school hosts Thanksgiving meal for students, families
Students and their families in Brownsville were treated to a holiday meal Thursday.
For the tenth year, the faculty of P.S./I.S. 323 and the Mott Hall Bridges Academy hosted a Thanksgiving feast at the school building they share on Chester Street.
There were plenty of Thanksgiving staples to go around, as well as chicken, rice and donuts.
Some of the families at the meal live in shelters and can't make the Thanksgiving feast they want to in the facilities at which they are staying.
Other guests were Brownsville community members who wanted to join in on the festivities.
Families were able to take home leftovers from the meal as well.
