Search underway for missing woman, infant from Bay Ridge

Police are searching for a mother and her 11-month-old son from Bay Ridge who were last seen on Nov. 18.

Police say 39-year-old Hazuki Matsushita and her son, Isse Salazar, were last seen leaving Matsushita's mother-in-law's Roosevelt Island home.

According to her husband, Carlos Salazar, she was last at the couple's Brooklyn apartment 10 days prior in the beginning of November when they had gotten into a fight.

"It's just very worrisome," says Salazar. "No money with no clothing or anything in this weather. It's just very scary."

Salazar says his wife had been unhappy recently, and missing her family in Japan. He has since been scouring the Internet for any trace of his wife. He says her social media accounts are disabled.

Salazar also says Matsushita's passport and birth certificate are missing, and suspects she may have left the country.
