Albanian Independence Day celebrated in Greenwood

Albanian-Americans gathered in Greenwood Saturday to celebrate 104 years since Albania declared its independence from the Ottoman Empire.



The celebration took place at Liberty View Plaza and included dinner, drinks and live entertainment.



Senela Merulic, who emigrated from Albania as a teen, says she embraces her past.



"I love our traditions, our food, music, Culture, absolutely everything," she told News 12.
