21-year-old man dead, 1 other injured in Canarsie shooting

Police are looking for at least one suspect in a shooting that left a man dead and another injured in Canarsie Wednesday
Authorities say they were notified of shots fired at around 3 p.m. on Paerdegat Second Street.
As police were responding, they were notified of two victims inside a white BMW in the vicinity of Farragut Road and East 80 Street.
The driver of the car was identified as 21-year-old Korey Mitchell.
Police say Mitchell was shot multiple times in the face and chest, and a 20-year-old man was also hit once in the leg. Both were taken to hospitals, where Mitchell was pronounced dead.
News 12 has learned that the other man has been released from the hospital.
