Brooklyn man convicted of raping 82-year-old woman last year

(AP) -- A 20-year-old Brooklyn man is now facing up to 122 years in prison after being convicted of rape and other offenses in connection with an attack on an 82-year-old woman last year.
Asa Robert was found guilty Monday on charges of rape, criminal sex act, burglary, robbery and criminal trespass for his actions on July 13, 2015.
Prosecutors say Robert broke into his victim's Brighton Beach home around 2 a.m. that night while she was taking out the trash. The woman went to bed a short time later, but awoke to find Robert hiding in her bedroom.
Armed with a knife, Robert ordered the woman not to call the police before he raped and sodomized her for four hours.
Robert is expected to be sentenced on Jan. 10.
