Family: School safety officer missing since Dec. 17
A Brownsville mother says her son, a school safety officer, has been missing for almost two weeks.
She's turning to news cameras to beg him to come home.
Lamar Gamble, 33, was last seen Saturday, Dec. 17, according to his mother, Velma Gamble.
The family says Gamble's disappearance is completely out of character.
Police say his last known whereabouts were on Franklin Street in Greenpoint. He was wearing a black jacket, dark blue jeans, black sneakers and a black Yankees hat at the time.
Earlier in the night, family members say Gamble had gone to three bars. At one, he lost his phone. He returned to get his property, and relatives say the bar would not let him back inside.
Gamble's birthday is Jan. 3, and relatives say they hope he is found OK before then.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
