Artwork helps spruce up scaffolding in Brooklyn
There are millions of feet of scaffolding and construction planks at any given moment in New York City, but one group is turning the commonplace sight into artwork. ArtBridge is bringing beauty to several construction sites by turning scaffolding into art space. The group uses a weatherproof vinyl to cover up the typical blue boards and scaffolding with bright murals. ArtBridge has spruced up the Barclays Center site and other spots in DUMBO and East Flatbush. After construction wraps up, ArtBridge turns the supplies used into totes and sells them to help unemployed and homeless women across the city.
