Valuable menorah stolen from Midwood home

Police are searching today for the thief caught on video snatching a valuable menorah from a Midwood home.

Police say the menorah was stolen Tuesday from a home on Fifth Street in Midwood while the owner and his family were home. According to homeowner Yehezkel Zion, the suspect took the menorah and later came back for more valuables but was scared away by his son.

Zion is a prominent rabbi of a synagogue on Ocean Parkway.
