Community rallies to repair Greenpoint dog park

Community members in Greenpoint are rallying to fix a dog park that was damaged in a recent storm. The fence at McGorlick Park was damaged last week when a storm caused a tree to fall on it. Residents say they have raised nearly $700 even though state Assemblyman Joseph Lentol (D-50th District) arranged for the Parks Department to repair the fence for free once supplies arrive. Some residents say the money can now be used for extra improvements at the park.
