BK man honored by City Council for saving girl

A Coney Island man was honored at City Hall this morning for saving a girl who fell from her window last month. Steven St. Bernard caught Keyla McCree when she slipped off her apartment's air conditioning unit back on July 16. Today, St. Bernard received a proclamation from City Council Speaker Christine Quinn for his rescue efforts. St. Bernard, an MTA bus driver, says he has yet to return to his job as he recovers from a torn tendon suffered during the incident. Coney Island hero throws first pitch at Cyclones game
