Leiby Kletzky camera initiative on hold

The million-dollar initiative to install street cameras in Borough Park and Midwood is on hold due to NYPD concerns over access to the footage.
The state-funded program was launched after the death of Leiby Kletzky.
Police have learned they may not have immediate access to the footage if a crime is caught on camera.
?I think it's unwise to have any kind of filter before it goes to the police or any judgments are made,? Police Commissioner Ray Kelly says.
Levi Aron recently admitting to killing and dismembering Kletzky last year. He will be sentenced later this month.
