Police: Baby in stroller struck by school bus in Bensonhurst

Police say a baby in a carriage was struck by a school bus at around noon.

The incident happened at corner of 20th Avenue and 62nd Street.

Witnesses say the bus did not come to a complete stop at the stop sign. They say that the street is usually packed with cars, and vehicles usually have to creep forward to see oncoming traffic.

The baby reportedly suffered a head injury and was taken to Maimonides Hospital and is expected to be OK.
