Young musician reunited with violin after fire

One week after a fire tore through an apartment building on New York Avenue in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, more than 100 families affected by the fire were able to return to the scene to retrieve their belongings. A young musician living in the building says he was relieved to be reunited with his most prized possession, his violin.
Claudius Aggripa, 11, has been playing the violin for eight years. He says when the fire broke out, he left his violin behind in a rush as he and his family evacuated their seventh-floor apartment. When tenants were allowed back to gather belongings left behind in the fire, his father made sure he got his violin back.
It is not known yet when residents will be allowed to move back in, as crews are still working on reinforcing the building.
