D line renovations complete after months of closures
After months of closures, renovations on the D line have been complete, making commuting much easier for subway riders.
New features installed at D line stations include new platforms and speakers giving riders real-time service information. Elevators and ramps now make stations completely accessible for the elderly, disabled, and parents with strollers.
The renovations cost $88 million and were funded by President Obama's 2009 stimulus package.
