Police probe deadly drive-by shooting in Bed-Stuy
Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that left one man dead in Bedford-Stuyvesant this morning.
According to officials, the victim was sitting in his truck at Patchen Avenue and Hancock Street at around 10:30 a.m. when another dark-colored pickup truck drove by and someone inside fired several shots at him. The pickup then took off up Patchen Avenue.
The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, police say.
Neighbors say at the time of the shooting, the victim was accompanied by two women, who are now being interviewed by police.
Police are still trying to determine a motive behind the shooting. Anyone with information is being asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
