Parents push DOT for traffic light outside P.S. 212
Concerned parents in Bensonhurst are making a push for the Department of Transportation (DOT) to install a traffic light outside P.S. 212.
Activists, along with a school crossing guard, made a formal request to the DOT during a community meeting last night. They complain that stop signs aren't enough at Bay 49th Street and Harway Avenue.
The group says it has not heard from DOT officials and that they had declined an invitation to attend its meeting.
