Two women are recovering after being struck and pinned under an MTA bus in Bensonhurst last night.
MTA officials say the bus was making a left turn while on its way to the Ulmer Bus Depot near Bath and 25th avenues when the pedestrians were hit. According to police, both women were conscious when they were pulled from underneath the bus and rushed to Lutheran Hospital.
Residents say the area is dangerous for pedestrians because of the bus depot. Some complain that buses don't give them enough time to cross the street.
An investigation into the accident is now under way.
