BK man named new MTA head
A Brooklyn man has officially become the new head of the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA).
The state Senate yesterday confirmed Joseph Lowda to replace Jay Walder as chairman and CEO.
Lowda served as deputy mayor for operations under Rudy Giuliani where he oversaw day-to-day management of the city and supervised city agencies.
