Students fight to keep Nazareth H.S. open
Students at Nazareth High School in East Flatbush are gearing up for a fight to keep their school open.
The school's board of trustees recently voted to shutter the school at the end of the school year, citing declining enrollment.
The students say they are working to raise money to keep the school's doors open, and alumni of the school are reportedly donating money as well.
Monique Fisher, a Nazareth teacher and an alumna of the school, says that the closure is unjust because the school provides a great education and has a great graduation rate.
Both students and teachers say they will do whatever it takes to keep the school open.
