FBI urges victims to come forward after teacher's aide arrest
The FBI is urging families in Crown Heights to come forward with information following the arrest of an elementary school teacher's aide on child pornography charges. According to the FBI, P.S. 243 employee Taleek Brooks made pornographic videos of himself with children inside a classroom. Investigators say there could be more victims, and they hope anyone who may have been abused will speak up. Brooks was first arrested last month for allegedly downloading child pornography onto his home computer. He was arrested again Monday after FBI officials said they found two external hard drives containing explicit videos, some of which he shot himself, in his residence. The news of Brooks' arrest left many parents and students at P.S. 243 shocked. School officials say counselors will be available to speak to kids. Brooks was arraigned today on child pornography charges. If convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison. Anyone with information on Brooks is being asked to contact the FBI at 212-384-2700.
