Brighton Beach group hands out food for Passover

The Shorefront Jewish Community Council in Brighton Beach is making sure everyone in their area has enough kosher food to celebrate Passover.
Volunteers passed out 1,300 specially prepared food packages today at the JASA Scheuer House. The packages included traditional matzohs, grape juice, macaroons, fresh produce and more.
The food distribution is funded by the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty, the Food Band for New York City, the United Way of New York City and the UJA-Federation of New York.
