Bay Ridge teacher gets sky-high praise from NASA

A science teacher at an all-girls school in Bay Ridge has been honored by NASA for helping her students in the field of aeronautics. Susan D'auria, a teacher at The Visitation Academy, is one of 51 educators across the nation to receive the Endeavor Fellowship. The award is given to science, engineering and math teachers. She says her lesson plans consist of hands-on activities that focus on the planets, gravity and aerodynamics.
