A controversial billboard targeting atheists was unveiled today in the Hasidic and orthodox-dominated community of South Williamsburg.
The group American Atheists says the sign features the name of God written in both Hebrew and English, and then says, "You know it's a myth? and you have a choice."
Some residents are defending the billboard, citing freedom of speech, but others say that if it's targeting a specific group or population, they don't want it in their neighborhood.
The sign will sit atop a building on South 5th Street where it can be seen from the right side of the Williamsburg Bridge.
The atheist group plans to post a second advertisement in Paterson, N.J. which will be in Arabic and targeted toward the Muslim community living there.
