Residents feel secure in 'Safe Stop' program

Residents and businesses across the borough are praising the city's "Safe Stop" program. The initiative allows local businesses that pass a background check to hang a special sign letting children know that they can stop in for help if they're in danger or lost.
Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes enacted the campaign after the kidnapping and death of 8-year-old Lieby Kletzky. The 13th Avenue Merchants Association has picked up the program, and its effects are making a difference in the community.Brooklyn expands 'Safe Stop Program'
