Accused rapists freed after victim recants story
Two men accused of rape and sex trafficking are free today after the district attorney says the victim recanted her story.
Damien Crooks, who was indicted last June on charges ranging from rape to sex trafficking had his bail reduced yesterday and was released from jail. And Darrel Dula, who was facing similar charges was also released after the DA says the Crown Heights woman who accused the men recanted.
The District Attorney's office says the charges against the men are still pending.
