The man accused of shooting NYPD Detective Kevin Brennan appeared in court today for a pre-trial hearing. Luis Ortiz faces charges in the attempted murder of Brennan back in January. The officer was shot while responding to a 911 call in Bushwick. Brennan survived and was released from the hospital in February.
