A controversy is brewing in Bed-Stuy where one school is planning to hand out condoms on prom night.

Administrators at Bed-Stuy Preparatory High School say they want to make sure students leave the dance on June 7 fully protected. The principal says the condoms will be made available just as they are on any other day at the school.

Many parents argue that handing out condoms will encourage sexual activity among teenagers, but others say that condom distribution is a safe measure for something they think is inevitable.
