'Lover's lane' becomes a neighborhood nuisance in Midwood
Many Midwood residents aren't feeling the love and are calling for an end to a so-called "lover's lane" that they say is a neighborhood nuisance.
According to residents, Olean Street has been a well-known hideout for teenagers for years. They say the road is hidden and draws crowds of young people who drink, smoke and engage in other activities at any time of day.
Neighbors complain the eyesore has a lot of potential if the trees were cut back, and sidewalks and lights added. They say police stepped up patrols in the area in recent years, but that it hasn't made a difference.
