Hundreds rally to save P.S. 102 after-school program
Hundreds of parents and children rallied for an after-school program at P.S. 102 that is slated to close if Mayor Michael Bloomberg's budget passes.
The program is run by Heart Share, a nonprofit that serves nearly 20,000 New Yorkers with a variety of services. Students are able to go inside the school to do their homework, play games and sing along to music.
Bloomberg is proposing the cuts in order to close a budget gap.
