Cooling centers open in Brooklyn for residents to beat the heat
Temperatures are climbing again this weekend, with highs expected in the 90s. Cooling centers will be open throughout the city for the next two days to offer residents relief from the hot weather.
The designated public places, such as libraries and senior centers, will be air conditioned and available to residents for free.
The Office of Emergency Management recommends everyone stay out of the sun, limit physical activity and drink plenty of water during the coming hot days.
To find a cooling center near you, visit the OEM's website.
