Voters headed to the polls Tuesday for the Congressional primaries in New York.
State Assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries defeated city Councilman Charles Barron for the Democratic nomination in the 8th District, while Rep. Nydia Velazquez won a four-way primary for the Democratic nomination in the 7th District.
In the U.S. Senate, Republican Wendy Long won a three-way primary to face incumbent Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in November's general election. Click here for results.
