Con Ed cuts power to BK neighborhoods amid sweltering heat

Con Edison has reduced power to many Brooklyn neighborhoods as temperatures creep up toward 100 degrees. The utility says it has cut power by 5 percent to some areas because of trouble with electrical equipment due to the heat.
