Police: 1 officer injured in chase with suspect in Fort Greene

Police say one officer was injured and a suspect was shot during a chase in Fort Greene this evening.

Official say they were chasing a suspect around the Ingersoll Houses after responding to reports of shots fired when the suspect opened fire on the officers. Police returned fire, hitting the suspect.

Police say one officer was taken to Methodist Hospital for undescribed trauma injuries and the suspect was taken to Bellevue Hospital for the gunshot wound.
