Police: Man strikes 2 Brooklyn banks in 1 day

Police are on the hunt for a robber who they say hit up two Brooklyn banks in just one day.

According to cops, the suspect attempted to rob an HSBC Bank on Flatbush Avenue on May 21, but left without any cash. They say he then went to a Sovereign Bank on Newkirk Plaza a few hours later and made away with an undetermined amount of money.

He's described as being between 25-35 years old, about 6 feet tall and 240 pounds, and was wearing plastic gloves in both incidents.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
