Grocery owner's wife attacked with hammer in Williamsburg robbery
The wife of a Williamsburg grocery store owner is recovering after being brutally attacked with a hammer during a robbery on Sunday.
According to police, the victim was working at Angel's Food Market on Lorimer Street and suffered multiple cuts to her face and head. They say the thieves got away with less than $1,000.
The owner says the store was robbed three times last week. He's closed up since the latest incident and has no plans to reopen at this time.
