Bed-Stuy pastor arrested in connection with fatal hit-and-run

Police say they have arrested the pastor of a Bed-Stuy church in connection with a hit-and-run accident that killed an 88-year-old grandmother Sunday night.

Isabel Rodriguez was killed near the corner of Linvonia and Stone avenues, just yards from her Brownsville home.

Police have arrested 50-year-old Wayne Stokeling after finding his car just a block and a half from the scene of the accident. Stokeling is being charged with leaving an accident resulting in death and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
