MTA makes 'G' train extension permanent
There's good news for 'G' train riders. The temporary subway extension to Church Avenue is now permanent.
The MTA announced Thursday that the extension, first put in place more than two years ago, will stay with added stops in Windsor Terrace, Park Slope and Kensington.
Many commuters are also rejoicing in other transit news. MTA officials said that a scheduled fare hike has been pushed back from January to March, and that it will restore service cuts on several bus lines throughout the borough.
