Livery cab driver robbed at gunpoint in Sunset Park
Police are investigating after a livery cab driver was robbed at gunpoint yesterday afternoon.
Officials say the suspect got into the cab at 366 41st St. at around 1:30 p.m. and asked the driver to take him to 54th Street between Ninth Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway.
According to police, when the driver arrived at the destination, the suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded the driver's cell phone and money before fleeing.
