Residents sue over plan to change Coney Island boardwalk

Residents in two civic organizations are suing the city over the proposed plan to replace Coney Island's wooden boardwalk with concrete and plastic.
Residents claim there was no environmental review done before moving forward with plans to change the boardwalk.
The city has already replaced a section of the boardwalk by 35th Street
Opponents say changing the boardwalk to concrete and plastic would not only ruin the look and feel of the boardwalk, but it would also create a host of other issues, from beach erosion to flooding.
