Coney Island advocacy group warns of Boardwalk conditions

A local Coney Island advocacy group is voicing concern about dangerous conditions on the boardwalk.

The president of the advocacy group "Friends of the Boardwalk" says the stretch between 23rd and 27th streets needs repairs right away. He also told News 12 Brooklyn that a woman fell through a damaged section a few days ago and was injured.

A Parks Department spokesperson says there's $30 million in funding set aside to fix up the boardwalk.

News 12 Brooklyn has been told that crews regularly maintain the aging sections that haven't been renovated yet.
