Red Hook gets FEMA relief center

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has opened a new recovery center in Red Hook that aims to give both short-term and long-term aid to Brooklyn residents recovering from the devastation of Superstorm Sandy.

The new center is set up in Coffey Park and there are also representatives from the Small Business Administration there to give whatever aid they can to those in need.

Representatives from FEMA urge struggling residents to contact them online, through the mail, or by visiting their closest recovery center for help.

FEMA and the Small Business Administration will be at the Red Hook center from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day for as long as necessary.
